The pin barrel cold feed extruder is an advanced type of rubber processing equipment developed on the basis of conventional cold feed extruders. It is specially designed for continuous plasticization and extrusion of various rubber compounds at room temperature. Distinct from ordinary cold feed extruders, a large number of pins are installed radially on the extruder barrel. These pins extend into the material flow channel. As the screw rotates, the pins break up rubber flow layers, strengthen mixing and shearing action, greatly improve the uniformity of plasticization and shorten the plasticizing time.
