The Mooney Viscometer is a fundamental rheology testing instrument for unvulcanized rubber and rubber compounds. Following the test principles of ISO 289 and ASTM D1646, it measures Mooney viscosity by detecting the torque resistance when a rotor rotates in rubber samples under constant temperature. It mainly tests Mooney viscosity and Mooney scorch time. The Mooney viscosity reflects the flowability and processability of rubber, while the scorch time indicates the anti-premature vulcanization performance during processing.
