The rubber two-roll open mixing mill, commonly known as the open mill, is a core piece of traditional and essential processing equipment in the rubber industry. Widely applied in rubber product manufacturing, research laboratories and small-batch production lines, it is mainly used for rubber mastication, compound mixing, warming, sheeting and residual material refining, serving as an indispensable pretreatment procedure before formal rubber vulcanization and molding. Structurally, the open mill features a simple and robust mechanical design, primarily composed of two parallel horizontal rollers, driving transmission system, gap adjustment device, heating/cooling system and safety protection device. The two rollers rotate in opposite directions with a fixed speed difference. This structural design creates strong shear force, friction force and extrusion force on rubber materials passing through the roller gap, which fundamentally supports the material processing effect.
